A Bit of History
My journey into art commenced later in life, following a fulfilling career as a teacher. Even in childhood, I was captivated by art, but I set this passion aside to pursue a teaching path where I instilled a passion for reading as a School Librarian.
“MY ART CHAPTER BEGINS”
Over 14 years ago, I embarked on a new chapter in life following retirement. It all began with a gift of antique windows from my mother, sparking my interest in painting. Inspired by the works of Georgia O'Keeffe, I started adorning these windows with floral motifs, which quickly gained popularity among family and friends as garden art. This marked the beginning of my artistic journey, where I discovered a profound passion for painting.
Driven by this newfound passion, I found myself increasingly drawn to capturing the essence of animals and the natural world in my artwork. This emotional energy infuses every piece I create, reflecting my deep pride and enjoyment in the process.
From this pivotal moment, FayBecca Designs was born, marking the commencement of my professional painting career. Over time, I have expanded my repertoire to include vibrant and diverse works, with a particular focus on pet portraits.
At that moment, “I realized I had found my ultimate passion in life!”
This emotional energy grew and is apparent in all my work. I take pride and enjoyment in what I do, but I am especially proud of my ability to capture the essence of animals and the elements of nature in an alluring and captivating way.

I mostly have a deep passion for animals, which ultimately became my most profound inspiration. While my love for painting what inspires me remains central, my portfolio also highlights a diverse range of other artworks also displayed in my Gallery. It vividly illustrates my evolution as an artist and my unwavering commitment to capturing the essence of nature and the whimsical world.

Throughout my painting career, I have achieved numerous milestones and accolades. I am honored to have received awards at our local Art Walk and other esteemed art venues. One of the highlights of my career was being featured on the cover of The New Barker Dog Magazine of Florida, where a dedicated article showcased my work. It was a privilege to receive such recognition, reflecting the impact of my art within the community.
Another Feather in My Cap was illustrating “Joyride” a children’s book about a dog and a cat and how they became friends by taking chances!
